Lonsdor K518 Pro and K518 series released a new update on Jan. 30th, 2024- Adding BMW BDC key programming by OBD.
Direct add key BDC via OBD. If all keys lost, still need to remove to pull put ISN code with proper tool first.
For BDC system only, FEM still needs bench it.
Here take an example of BMW X2 BDC system. We will show how to add key to BDC system via OBD.
To add key we need an original and a new key.
Go to IMMO & Remote-> BMW->Select from type->FEM/BDC->Method 2(OBD)
First of all, we need to read key data
Read data successfully.
It means this car has get pre-processing already.
Then Select Backup and Restore code function
Select Backup Code
Make backup successfully
Select Preprocess FEM/BDC
If Lonsdor asks do you have a working key, press Yes
Ready to program the module, it will take 10 minutes, make sure battery voltage is not lower than 13V
Preprocess execution completed.
Put a working car key into the car induction coil
Turn on ignition
Check and confirm original key information
Record the ISN code
Save SK file.
Program completed.
Last step is to learn key
Select Learn Key->Load SK file to learn key
Upload SK file saved
Select an unused key position to write key
Press Write key
Put the new key to be programmed into the induction coil
Need to hold the key close to the ignition coil and long press Start button for 10s
